residential house s in schwabhausen

built 2009

This house was built on the edge of the village. The church is located north of the property and in its vicinity residential houses and adjoining chambers – in their construction probably dating back to the village’s time of origin. The view to the north conveys a snug image.

The village is characterised by traditional farm structures, into which the new dwelling should fit. For this reason, the motif of the traditional three-sided farm was taken up and adapted for present-day residential needs. Two structures arranged at right angles to each other form the residence. They refer to the street corner and at the same time form two sides of the “farm”. The third side is closed with a side building accommodating a carport and storage space.

This building arrangement divides the property into public and private areas. The ground floor with kitchen, dining area and living room is directly connected via sliding doors to the secluded inner courtyard and thus contributes to the individual private life of the owners.

In the interior of the building, white plastered wall surfaces contrast in elegant fashion with selected natural stone floor and wall surfaces.
